I must say I love your website and you have a great conpect of what wushu is. Please keep up the good work. I must say one thing I have been a student of wushu for 30 plus years, this new taolu I do not enjoy so much. It seems after 1992 the wushu has become a gymnastic sport. I was on YouTube and I found a few video's called ass kicking wushu. It was great these were the athelite's I admired growing up. This new wushu and taiji can't compare. I was walking last week and over hearing some kids that came out of a American karate school. One person said he would like to take wushu the other person said just take ballet. I wanted to say something but there is a old Chinese saying those who speak do not know those who know do not speak. But this is the road the new Chinese wushu has taken us. I hope it improves for our sake take care and I look forward to more wushuzilla.

The hands on is so important, palrlcuraity when we get to push hands because I intuitively believe it's at that time, when the teacher really touches the student and enters into the circle with him, that there is an actual transmission of knowledge. I'm speaking on a mystical plane here, because it might just be that we learn when we are pushed and pulled by a master and we in turn learn how to move. Or there could actually be a transmission of knowledge mystically, energetically. Without explanation, I think it definitely happens.

Thanks for your comment Kevin! Yes, wushu has cghnaed quite a bit since the 70 s and 80 s. Personally, I can appreciate both the old style and the new style. They each have their merits and unique points. There are many things that the older generation could do that the current one can not, but that is also true in the other direction. When you increase ability in one area, it tends to go down in others, and vice versa. These things tend to be cyclical, so I think that, given enough time, things will swing back in the other direction at some point. Perhaps not any time soon, but eventually I think it will.Anyway, thanks for the comment and I hope you enjoy the website. http://vmtqmjw.com ftlcnv [link=http://xlmxfwq.com]xlmxfwq[/link]
